Welcome to the new Homepage of Georgius-Agricola-Gymnasiums Chemnitz
Tradition in the heart of our city
Our school is named after Georgius Agricola
(1494-1555) the Chemnitz polymath, who is both role model and
inspiration for students and teachers alike.
Agricola was a teacher, scientist, politician and a doctor. His
achievements in these areas and his multilingualism spur teachers and
students to strive for an excellent all-round education.
Georgius Agricola, the universal genius, who was far ahead of his time, gives direction to our work.
